It's difficult to say as all consultants work differently. Some send negative results by post but send an appointment through to those with a positive result so that they can give all the details face to face and explain the next steps. Others send a letter with an appointment to all patients so they can give the results, whether good or bad, face to face. It's very rare that bad news is given by post. I'm afraid you will just have to wait and see what comes through the post. Good luck and please keep us updated.
