Hi there, in similar situation as in I found a lump had all those tests and then when there I was told they'd also found microcalcifications and I'd need to go back for stereotactic biopsy. This is now booked for next Tuesday, however my consultant refuses to give me biopsy results on my lump (which he will have by now) until he has the results of the microcalcifications biopsy also.  He said he needed the full picture, but my stress levels are shooting off the roof.  X I'm sure if they've told you not to worry that's a positive, I've not been told not to worry - but I know that it's impossible not to worry x x 

No they thought it was a cyst and on the first appointment they did mammogram and ultra sound and then called in for a fine needle bisopsy to try and drain the so called cyst however they couldn't so they they did a biopsy and results came back benign. I thought this would be the end of it but then they said they needed to check the calcifications to be sure that these were all ok.  Good luck with your appointment I hope all is ok x x 

And yeah it is impossible not to worry as it's extremely stressful as you can't help but think of it in a dark way!. I keep busy and forget about that then it just jiggles in the back of your mind! Hopefully we will both know soon x

Did they say if macro or micro calcifications?  X I'm glad the lump was a cyst - has it gone away now? it is so hard when you don't know what they might be worried about. Let me know how you get on and vice versa x 

Yep, I'm struggling to sleep and function full stop. Hopefully we'll know soon, just wishing sooner x 

No they never said they just said calcifications. Fingers crossed it's all ok. Will keep you posted x 

It's strange what they do and don't tell you - but without knowing what their concerns are about calcifications, we're blind anyway - but often it's nothing, so I'm told xx fingers crossed for us both xx
