Hi I found. Breast lump about 2 weeks ago. I've been for an ultrasound on Wednesday and got to go back for a guided ultrasound biopsy on Monday. I'm going out my mind worrying but wondered if anytmone else has experienced similar.
Fingers crossed they'll get the biopsies done too in the morning then. I'm glad you managed to get seen quickly even if you did have to change hospitals x
Hi sorry for the late update. Yesterday was a very long day. So I had to start again with consultation etc. But long story short they did mammogram (I'm only 38) but have family history so decided to do it. And I had a thorough ultrasound. Everything is normal and didn't need a biopsy. I'm so glad the Dr on Monday rang in sick or I would've had 8 weeks recovery biopsy when it wasn't needed. The mammogram was also clear which was amazing news. It was a draining day but so glad it was positive. Thank you for asking. I need to consider the gene test the Dr said but I don't think I want to know. I'd rather just keep being proactive and checking regularly and going jn if not right.

Its completely your choice about the gene test, I'd probably do it, not for myself but to raise awareness for others in my family or future family, but that's probably because I don't have much family information and I'm always embarrassed when I'm asked if any family history, because I just don't know x
I had a shock yest as got an apt also at breast surgery clinic next Thursday afternoon and that wasn't expected as consultant told me he wouldn't see me until he had calcification biopsy results as well as lump biopsy results - clearly he is now seeing me about lump results regardless xx
So I tried to cancel my original consultant apt but they advised me to still attend and discuss the original scam. So I went in on Tuesday and she re scanned me and showed me that there is an area which she describes as a vague area. Not sure what this means....I think from what she said it an area that they don't know what it is. So she advised a biopsy. So I had that done Tuesday and I'm awaiting the results from it.
It's so hard isn't it x did they tell you when you might get the results? I had my stereotactic biopsies yesterday and saw consultant today, but still have to wait for those results to get my treatment plan, but I'm having to accept it now and I know that, just not always an easy journey, but we support each other through it and that's so helpful xx I'm here for you xx
