How long do biopsy results take at present in Bolton, is it better to take long or if it's cancer would they contact you sooner? I've been waiting a week and it feels like forever. Thank you in advance
I have had 2 biopsies this year and the results coming back varies each time depending what tests they doing and how busy they are. Its normally between 2-4 weeks thats how long mine took.
I hope and pray you get your results soon and it is good news for you. I totally understand the feeling and anxiety you are doing through waiting on biopsy results. Its absolutely awful.
Just out of curiosity - how long was it that you waited for results in the end? Only asking as I had an excisional biopsy on Friday and I kind of want to put it to the back of my mind (so if it took 4 weeks - I won't expect to hear anything till the end of April) .Very glad my lump has gone, but the silence of the surgeon on lump removal spoke volumes! I do know sample pots were being sent to histology and cytology.
