Results discrepancy -colposcopy/Smear

Hi, 

I had a colposcopy on the 4th August and was told I was HPV positive and they could see high grade cells. They took a biopsy and I was told I'd have results in 4 weeks. 
I have been told I have CIN2 and need treatment, but they have had to refer results as the smear and biopsies don't match. It could be weeks until I get answers. 
I am not normally and anxious, emotional person but this has really affected me. I am single, 32 and have no children and I'm worried about fertility anyway. But this is making it worse. 
 

Has anyone else had this issue?

    I'm sorry your results have been referred due to them not matching. It's completely understandable why this would make you anxious but I hope it helps to know you're not alone as some of our members have found themselves in a similar situation so will understand how you're feeling at the moment and hopefully some of them will be along soon to offer their support and advice.
