Multiple lumps in one breast

Hi

I'm 35 years old and a few weeks ago found a small lump very high up on the breast, doctor said he would consider it more chest wall area and wasn't concerned. I was back in yesterday after finding 2 more in the lower outer side of the same breast. They're both larger, one kinda feels like a ridge more than a lump.  As it was a male doctor he wouldn't/couldn't preform a full check but felt that area and said he would refer me, didnt really say anything else so I'm up the walls thinking it's something serious. I'm in Ireland and the wait time is around a month at the mo, I dont have anyone to talk to about it and am really stressing. Just had to say it somewhere

  • Hi

im sorry to hear you've found some lumps, and that you have no one to talk to about it, you've come to the right place as there are some great people in here responding to others who might come along and comment on your post. I also noticed that the cancer research website has a number you can ring to speak to nurses who might be able to answer any questions you have and signpost you where else you can get support.

im 39 and went to the GP on weds with pain in one breast, she examined me and found a small, mobile pea sized lump which she wasn't overly concerned about (she thought it might be a fibroid) but referred me for my peace of mind she said. It's hard not to think the worst though isn't it and it's so scary, I'm hoping she's right not to. E worried but it's so unknown.

Wanted to send you my love xx

  • Thanks so much for the reply, I've only my mam and I dont want to worry her, have been reading through posts here trying to calm myself down

My doctor just said it needs to be checked and not much else which immediately made me think the worst

Hopefully your nurse is right, and I hope you don't have too long to wait for an app.

Thanks again for commenting,  never felt so alone!

    Xxx

  • I did the same, wanted to see if others had the same experience as me and what came of their experiences to try to rationalise mine. You're not alone though, there's a number in these chats all going through the same, and we're only the ones posting on here, there must be others. I think we also have to try and take comfort that most cases referred to the breast clinic are benign (and hopefully even more so the younger people are).

I hope your appointment comes through soon so you can get some answers and peace of mind xxx
