Mole on leg

Hi,

So basically there is a mole on my leg that I have found but I have had it ever since I was a baby but I was just wondering should I consider getting it checked out? It is starting to worry me a little bit because I have heard so many moles being cancerous. Any advice would be appreciated and supported

    Hi Alexandra,

    Moles are very common and only a very small percentage turn cancerous. Why is it causing you worry? Has it changed in any way? Have you checked it against the ABCDE rules and noticed changes? Take a look at this link and if it matches any of these rules contact your GP for it to checked out. Even if you are sent to see a dermatologist there is a very good chance that your mole is fine. www.melanomauk.org.uk/the-abcde-rule
