Lumps/lisions on vulva

Hi,

About a month ago i had an abnormal smear with positive HPV, biopsy done and CIN3 found. Had a loop exsision done and a follow up smear due in 6 months.

At the time the doctor also found some little purple lumps (quite small) on my vulva, and have now been referred on the 2ww cancer referral. 

Im now not only worrying about the 6 month follow up smear incase cells have come back but worrying about if this maybe anything sinister. Has anyone else had these sorts of lumps before?

  • I'm sorry about the lumps that were found and for the worry they and your 2 week cancer referral are causing.

    I hope it helps to know that 9 out of 10 people who have an urgent referral are not diagnosed with cancer. You can find out more about urgent referrals on our website but hopefully some of our members who have contended with such lumps or been in a similar situation will pop by soon for a chat.
