Hi Hertslady and welcome to the community.

I think it's only natural to be feeling this way after what was found but if you can, try not to think the worst or jump to any conclusions. Easier said than done I know but there is a chance this could be a non cancerous nodule so try to keep that in mind until you find out more. 

Hopefully some of our members who have been in this position will offer their support and advice to you soon but in the meantime, we'll be thinking of you next week and will have our fingers crossed the respiratory consultant gives you good news.
