  • Hello Justme84,

I am sorry to hear that you have found this other lump on the other breast. It's good that you got the ball rolling and flagged the other lump on your right breast and that you are going to have an appointment about this tomorrow. I think the best thing to do is to bring this up at your appointment on Thursday and mention that you only recently discovered this other lump recently after being referred for the other one. Do talk about the fact that you find that the left areola is a lot bigger than it used to be and bigger than your right side and that you have noticed that you have a lump under each armpit. Don't hesitate to show these to the specialist you will be seeing so that he or she can examine you properly.

I hope that you will hear from other members of the forum who have had a similar experience and that they will share their story with you.

Best of luck for your appointment and let us know how it goes if you get a chance

    Best wishes,

    Hello Justme,

A very warm welcome to the forum.

I am sorry to hear about your sympstoms and the worry that these are causing you. As our moderator Lucie has said, you are doing the right thing by getting this investigated.

I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer in the past 12 years and know just how worrying it can be while you are waiting for a diagnosis. Much of this is due to fear of the unknown.

I have two children. They were teenagers when I was first diagnosed and, having lost my mum to breast cancer, I was convinced that I wouldn't live to see them reach adulthood. Since then I have been fortunate enough to see them both leave school, go to university, graduate, obtain gainful employment, marry and produce grandchildren. I still lead a busy and fulfilled life.

I sincerely hope that all goes well for you tomorrow.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
