Lump after pregnancy & breast clinic

Good evening,

I've posted a couple of times about my lump I had a baby 5 months ago I've found a lump which does appear to have reduced after antibiotics and lump I my armpit has gone. I have my referral at a one stop breast clinic on Saturday morning. What should I expect? Will I be in long? I'm so nervous about having the examination because my boobs aren't exactly the most pert and let's just say more like a deflated balloon! I'm going with the attitude of what will be will come diagnosis I'm 29 pretty fit and active and I'm hoping it's just body changes through pregnancy.

Are there any other ladies who found lumps not long after or during pregnancy? Can anyone share their breast clinc experiences with me please x.

  • I had a lump when my baby was 11 months excised leaving a scar across my breast l was 24, now retired and have had breast milk ducts removed due to infections.  l think l have a season ticket at Brest clinic. We can get lumps for many reasons hope your appointment goes well on Saturday

  • Was your lump benign? And the milk ducts removed due to infection all benign too?

  • Hi

Usually the breast clinic will be very thorough on the day and they may just be able to see what the problem is via ultrasound. Sometimes other tests are needed, mammogram and biopsy.  You will know on the day whether it's anything to be concerned about or not.

Don't forget 9 out of 10 breast lumps are harmless. Breast changes during and after pregnancy are very common.

I wouldn't be self conscious about your breasts, they really aren't looking at them and judging how pert they are! They've seen every shape and size!

I hope it goes well x

  • Hey, Ive just turned 21 and currently pregnant with my second! I found a lump in my boob in may, had it checked in June & biopsied and turned out to be a fibroadenoma (was told possibly from hormones with the pregnancy) sometimes it feels likes it shrinks other times it feels more like it's got bigger although it hasn't.. hope your appointment goes okay

  • Hi thank you for the message it's the wait that's the hardest i just wish it was Saturday morning. Did they do a biopsy just to double check everything after the ultrasound? How long were you in for? I'm the first appointment of the day so hoping I'm in and out x
