A week ago I was fooling around with my husband and when he grabbed my breast it hurt, so afterwards I had a feel to see why. To my surprise I found a very small and painful lump, that seems to have come from nowhere. I have been checking myself regularly after losing a friend to cancer.
Called the GP the next day and got booked in same-day with an ANP. She did a full examination and fou d the small lump. Said it was small, mobile and in her opinion a cyst. She prescribed antibiotics for 7 days and said if it doesn't make a difference, to call and she would refer for ultrasound. She told me not to check the lump until after 4 days as if it was an infectex/inflamed cyst, could aggravate it more. Checked today(day 6) and its got bigger. I'm totally freaking out. Can a lump that is cancerous grow that quick?
Just grateful for any positive words, insight or shared experience.
