Hysteroscopy, Polypectomy, Mirena and Biopsy

Hi all,

I (25f) really hope I'm allowed to post this here - i'm a bundle of nerves so all over the place lol.

On the 21st September I'm having a hysteroscopy, polypectomy, Biopsy and a Mirena inserted (all under general). During a transvaginal ultrasound, they found a thickened endometrium (past normal) and multiple cystic spaces within the endometrium with some colour flow, i still don't 100% know what this is but my GP confirmed it looked like Cystic Adenomyosis but i would very much need a biopsy to rule out anything more sinister like carcinomas.

I initially told work I would need 2 weeks off to recover (i think i misunderstood the procedure) however when i look online, there are different recovery times for hysteroscopy polypectomy, biopsy, and mirena insertion. Infact, all of them seem pretty harsh on *that* area and i'm a bit concerned my surgeon won't sign me off work for that long, however I have a very poor pain tolerance and am also anemic, i have low folate levels, and acquired neutropenia at 15 (low white blood cell count). I'm also terrified of being diagnosed with endometrial hyperplasia which would make me a candidate for a hysterectomy due to my family history with cancer.

Any reassurance, guidance, and advice is very appreciated :) xx
