Swollen glands ENT urgent referral

Hello,

I am feeling pretty worried an anxious. I have 2 glands on the right side of my neck that have been enlarged for a month. I don't have swollen glands anywhere else and no known lumps and bumps. I have been to the GP who has referred me on the suspected cancer 2 week urgent ENT referral today. The odd thing is I have absolutely no other symptoms. I've also had blood tests which came back normal but slightly raised inflammation levels.

I am wondering if anyone else has had this and what it was in the end? And also how it was treated?

    Hello Willsia1983 and welcome to Cancer Chat! 

    It's reassuring that your blood tests have come back normal and it's good that your GP is being very thorough and has referred you to ENT. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long for your ENT appointment. 

    I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. There are some good tips on this page on how to cope while waiting for news. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.
