Hi all,
I've been reading posts on this forum for a while and decided to see if anyone had ever experienced similar symptoms to me.
After I had my first covid vaccine in January I had a huge swelling in my armpit with pain in my armpit and shoulder/arm. Because it didn't go down within the first 4 weeks I was referred to the breast clinic. At the time I think I had felt a very small lump in my left breast and the Dr marked the area and my underarm for a US scan. I had this appointment and scan at the beginning of march and it was found to be normal glandular tissue. The sonographer literally only scanned the areas for around 20 seconds but I felt reassured. It did play on my mind later that she hadn't looked for long though.
In june/July I went back to the gp at around 20+ weeks pregnant as I became aware of the odd sensation in my left underarm again and my left breast felt really lumpy. She felt that there's was no cause for concern and that anything she felt seemed to be normal breast changes. Again, I felt reassured.
Last week, however, I again became aware of the strange sensation under my arm and could feel a definitely lump on the side of my left breast about the size of a pea. It seems quite smooth but only slightly mobile and is a bit tender to touch. I made a GP appointment and she could also feel it but felt that everything else felt normal. Because of the change she has referred me back to the breast clinic and I have an appointment in 8 days. I am now 32 weeks pregnant.
Today I found another small lump further round on the left closer to my armpit. This too is tender to touch and I really dont think it was there a few days ago. I have had a bruised feeling area which is tiny further round from my armpit almost on my back. I've poked and prodded it all day today and now it is very sore to touch all down my side below my armpit. I'm paranoid that this has something to do with the lumps but realise I could also have just hurt myself with all the poking and prodding.
I supposed I'm looking for a bit of reassurance and it's hard being pregnant and dealing with this. I'm 39 and this is baby no. 3. I stopped breastfeeding a year ago. There is no history of breast cancer on my family. My left side has always been a bit fuller and a bit more fleshy under my arm etc. I did think these lumps are cysts because they are sore to touch but these other pains are making me worry.
