I'm not even sure where to begin.
So, 3 years ago I got diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and bloods showed a tendency for PCOS too. I started meds for my thyroid and my periods became regular (between 30-40 days usually), no issues. This April, I experienced spotting 2 weeks before, it was brown and lasted 10 days. It stopped for a week and then I got my period normally. Same thing happened in May but the spotting was pink and yellowish so I rang my gp who said give it till June and then come in. I skipped my period and any spotting completely in June and then in July I had 2 weeks of spotting, thought I had a period which was very light but bright blood and texture (it just needed a liner which never happened before) and lasted 10 days, again unusual as I usually last 5-6 days. However, shortly after I got my normal period with cramps etc. I went straight to my gp and she did bloods but refused a cervical exam because I'm a virgin (I'm 23) and said she isn't worried. I then went to a private gyno who, again, brushed it off as PCOS without any testing and looked at the bloodtest results. He did do an exam but it was painful and he only saw the lip of my cervix and said everything looked fine. I had a bit of bleeding after the exam but I think that's normal? Then in August, I had no spotting but got a normal period 22 days after the previous one, yet again not normal. I booked another private gyno which is next week and I'm absolutely terrified I have cervical cancer :( This past week I've meant to have my period but again, I started with brownish discharge, then it turned yellowish, then it went pink and I saw bright blood and thought I might start because I had cramps and sore boobs but nope, I'm on day 8 of this discharge and its barely here anymore but still no period. I'm so so scared that I've let this go on for 6 months and allowed the doctors to brush me off. Has anyone had anything like this and have it turn out to be anything else? I know most cervical cancers are due to hpv but I do masturbate externally, not always with freshly washed hands I must admit, so I'm afraid I've introduced it to myself at some point :(
