So many moles on one breast

Hello,

I'm 18 years old and I have always been worried about the moles on my left breast. I have about 20 small moles as of now and I have noticed they developed throughout the years. They look like regular moles. I have none of my right breast at all. The moles have caused my left breast some discomfort of itchiness and soreness.

Any thoughts?

Thank you

  • Welcome to the Cancer Chat community Raina333 although I'm sorry for the worry your moles have been causing.

As they have caused you some discomfort and pain it would be best to book an appointment with your GP as they'll be able to look at your moles in more detail and let you know if they're any cause for concern.

Hopefully this won't be the case but it's always good to get anything that is worrying you checked out, if only for peace of mind.

Fingers crossed everything will be o.k.

    Kind regards,

  • Hi,

It's not unusual for new moles to develop when we are younger and some people have lots of moles or clusters of them but it doesn't necessarily mean they are a problem. However, if they are causing you discomfort and worry, I agree with Steph that you should let your GP take a look at them. Hopefully they will say they look completely fine but only a GP an put your mind at rest. Good luck and please let us know how you get on,

Angie (Stage 3 melanoma patient since 2009)
