Hello, I recently went for a colposcopy because I have been bleeding on and off for the past couple of years. Before that I hadn't had a period for 20 years due to a Mirena coil. The bleeding is unusual and heavy now. Firstly I had a new coil inserted but that didnt help. They found fibroids near my cervix and a polyp (which has been removed) but nothing sinister. I am waiting for smear and biopsy results. The problem is that I havent stopped bleeding since. Its red and heavy and its been a week since the colposcopy and its worse today than ever. Not sure if I should flag it up or let it runs its course?
