My smear test results came back earlier this year as having HPV and abnormal cells. I had a colposcopy biopsy which came back with precancerous cells so went back again and had a LLETZ procedure. I've just received my results and it says that my latest biopsy has come back showing CIN3 and states that these are precancerous cells and not cancer. The letter then goes on to say that I'm being discharged back to my GP to have another cervical screening test and test of cure in 6 months. Does this mean that the biopsy shows that the cells they removed were the correct cells or that I've still been left with some abnormal cells and I'm being left to see if my body sorts itself out? Has anyone else had the same/similar results?
