I was taken into A&E on Thursday after having heavy bleeding and passing large clots. I was transferred to a ward and had various tests including a scan. I was told that the bloods did not show up anything worrying but they detected a mass on a transvaginal ultrasound scan. I had a biopsy taken today. They've been giving me drugs to control the bleeding and after I had the biopsy said I could go home so I have. However I made the mistake of reading the discharge notes right before going to bed and I'm now completely terrified. It's about 6cm by 3cm by 4cm with some vascularity. It says some fluid in the endometrial cavity suggestive of blood. The biopsy was to take a sample from my endometrium.
My children are really young. My husbands gone to bed and I'm lying here feeling physically sick with fear of what's going to happen. Has anyone got any knowledge of this? Is there still a possibility that it could be a harmless fibroid? I'm too scared to google the possibility of fibroids having vascularity.
I can't see how I'm going to get any sleep.
