Pain in breast

Hi all

I found a lump in my breast it's pretty big and seemed to appear overnight. I got it checked by my GP the immediately referred me.

I went to the breast clinic on Monday and the doctor was pretty concerned by the size of it, I had an ultrasound but they couldn't determine anything from that saying that because I am 29 the breasts are still too fatty. They took two biopsy's but since then the lump has gone painful when it wasnt before and seemed to have got even bigger and perturding against my skin where you can see clearly just by looking at it there is a lump.

They stated it be two weeks until my results but I am concerned, I am trying not to think about it but because it's making everyday uncomfortable it's hard not to.

has anyone else experienced this?

    Hi Disagrac,

A very warm welcome to our forum,

I am sorry to hear about the discomfort you are having since you had your biopsies andI just wanted to reassure you that this is perfectly normal. I have had several biopsies over the years, as I have had 2 bouts of breast cancer. On most occasions my breasts were tender for a couple of months afterwards. This was just as a result of the procedure, as some were benign and some cancer. This is always an anxious time waiting for results. Try to distract yourself from the wait by keeping occupied with various projects.

Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on. We are always here for you.

Here's hoping that it's good news!

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx
