Please help, I'm desperate

I'm 28 male. It all started 5 weeks ago when I started belching/burping like crazy and when abdominal left side pain came. For the first two weeks the pain was one day there and then two days gone, and it alternated just like that for two weeks, but in the last 3 weeks the left side pain is there every single day. The crazy ammount of burping/belching also every single day. I get some pain relief  when I lean/bend forward. I went to a GI a week ago  which did an abdominal ultrasound... Nothing was found. I did some blood tests and they were ok too. I have been on full diet the last 3 weeks and even went on a clear liquid diet for 3 days and still no results.  What does it sound like? Thank you so much.

    HI Andrew,

A very warm welcome to our forum. I am afraid that we cannot diagnose, as we are not doctors. It sounds as if you need to go back to your GP for further investigation.

I can see where your mind is gravitating to, but there are a number of less serious things that it could be. Please make another appointment with your GP, or even ask for a second opinion if you are getting nowhere. I hope that you get to the root of your problem soon. Please keep in touch and let us know how you get on.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Thank you, Jolamine. What scares me is that I don't have other symptoms that come with other less serious things,  like constipation or diarrhea or other symptoms that you can find in other non-cancerous problem .Plus the fact that they are here for the last 5 weeks and do not come in flares like other less serious diseases makes this even more likely to be cancer. My symptoms seems to be similar to how sometimes Pancreatic and colon cancer acts. Do you think a MRI with Contrast is good enough instead of a colonscopy?

    Hi Andrew,

Unfortunately, I am only another cancer survivor, so cannot really tell you which tests are best. It sounds as if either would be a good place to start. I know that it's hard, but try not to let your imagination run away with you in the meanwhile.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine xx

  • Thanks again. I would go to another Doctor and ask for an MRI with contrast. For everyone else, what do you guys think of my situation? How likely does it sound to have either pancreatic cancer or colon cancer? Thank you

    Hi Andrew,

I hope that some of the guys come along soon to chat to you. In the meantime, stop prevaricating and make that appointment. You are obviously worried and need answers. None of us here can do any more than guess. The only way to find out whether or not it is cancer is to have the necessary tests. A doctor can tell you the probability but you want to know for certain and, the only way that you will find out is to have further investigation.

    Kind regards,

    Jolamine
