Lymph Nodes in neck

Im a 19yr old male, I have had a swollen lymph node on my right hand side of my meck for a very long time (about 7+ year) and i went to the doctor as ive been feeling a lil ill (headaches, dizzyness) and apparently i have another swollen lymph node on the legt hand side of my neck, it can move and its a lil hard, no pain tho. i did lose wight this year (about 10 pounds in a week) but that was due to me only eating soup! so i wouldnt consider it unexplained. however the doctor gave me a priority referral to the ENT as ive been feeling a bit ill for a long time now and im just a bit scared its cancer! any advice would be great

    I hope you won't have to wait too long for your ENT appointment. I can imagine it must be a very stressful time for you while waiting to find out more.

    I know it is really hard but try not to worry too much or anticipate what it might be. The best thing to do to avoid thinking too much about this is to keep busy and distracted if you can and avoid looking things up online. I can imagine it is hard for you to do this at the moment but it will help you feel a little less anxious. 

    I hope you will also hear from others here who have been through all this before and that they will be along soon to share their story with you.
