Im a 49 year old lady who is ..i think perimenopausal.
Almost a year ago my periods stopped and for 6 months I thought ...great that was easy then in march this year they started again. For the 4+ weeks Ive been bleeding and the last week much heavier. I was assuming it was all part of the menopause but Im now feeling that maybe it isnt. The practice nurse has said theyll do blood test (once the national shortage of blood tubes is restored in approx 4 weeks) then internal scan and then start HRT.Ive been prescribed Tranexamic acid in the mean time.
To be honest I'm worried it could be something more sinister.....
