I'm sorry to hear that you've had some health problems recently. It's understandable that you're feeling anxious about things. 

It's good to hear that the Dr's didn't feel there was any immediate cause for concern when you attended the hospital yesterday. Hopefully, you won't have to wait too long for the colonoscopy. We know that waiting for tests and results can be a difficult time. Try to avoid using Google to search for answers as it will inevitably lead you to a worst-case scenario and you'll feel even more anxious. We know from posts here on the forum that many people who have a colonoscopy are given feedback during or after the procedure about what's found so hopefully you will have some reassurance soon. 

In the meantime, I do hope that things settle and improve for you.

I was told straightaway after my colonoscopy - the doctor came in and I don't actually remember all he said because of the affects of the sedation, but I do remember him saying, "you can sign your contract with a clear conscience" (I had mentioned to him that I had just been made permanent in my job so was worried about needing time off if something serious was wrong) and was also talking to him during the procedure - at one point, they said something like "that's as far as we go" or something and I was actually worried about a bowel obstruction or something and asked and they said "no, it's just the end of your colon."

There was nothing but hemorrhoids found in my case, though. If they find polyps or take biopsies, you will probably have to wait a week or two for the results of those. I think some people here have said they sometimes give a general idea, like they might say they think it is benign, but I don't know for sure about that. I'm only going on second hand information.
