Hello all,
I have a growing dimple in my nipple. It's more like a centimeter wide dent. It's been getting deeper over the last eight months.
I saw the doctor a few weeks ago who had a look and a feel. She said when people talk about "dimpling" it's because there's a lump underneath that's pulling it down, and mine doesn't have a lump. And therefore, no referral needed.
I was quite happy with this. I've been seriously ill with other illnesses this last year and couldn't quite cope with the thought of more hospital.
I fully trust this doctor, have no reason not to, but it's getting deeper, and I wondered if anyone had any experience of a dent in the nipple that was cancer, without a feelable lump.
Both my mum and nan had breast cancer - my mum just had it for the second time.
And, I should also mention, due to drugs and illness, I put on a lot of weight (especially on my boobs), which is slowly coming off, and I had figured that's what the dent was, and my doctor thought so to, but thought I'd check on here.
I'm mid-thirties, and with the news of Sarah Harding today, and my dent increasing, I thought I'd just check.
Thanks in advance. X
