Lump on the outside of my vagina.

Hi

So recently I've found a small lump on the outside of my vagina. It doesn't hurt or give me pain, only when I press it slightly. I'm terrified to go to a gp or doctor. I'm 16 and a virgin, if this helps. I don't have someone i could talk to about this, as in a female relative as I feel more comfortable. :)

  • Hello moon_,

I know you mentioned that you are terrified to go to a GP or a doctor but if you are worried about this small lump on the outside of your vagina, your doctor will be best placed to tell you more about what it might be and to give you the reassurance you need. So don't hesitate to book an appointment. You are allowed to request to see a female doctor if that helps you feel more comfortable and this is something doctors are used to checking on a daily basis so don't feel shy about it.

I hope you manage to talk to someone about this soon.

    Best wishes,

  • Hello! Thank you so much for replying. It makes me feel so much better! I will book an appointment, I understand that they must have seen countless genitals. I will make sure to get a female doctor as well! Thank you for your advice :)
