Every lump needs testing properly ...if  G Ps could tell from the feel, we wouldn't need those other tests .. she /he was right in getting you an appointment ... 8.5 out of ten lumps are benign... so chances are good it's the same .. my first four call backs from mamorgrams over the years were fine... but 5th one was positive ...

It is far better to be on the safe side then to leave it, and it may have been cancer... err on the side of caution.... a wise old saying ... so you go, have your tests and fingers crossed for a good result ... you are not taking someone's place, everyone with a lump will get the same offer ..

Thank you. Luckily we have no history of C in the family but I am so so anxious now. Not sleeping because im so worried. I'll let you know how i get on.

i was told the same by my GP over a telephone consultation.  "There's no family history of Breast Cancer so it's unlikely that is is - but I'll still send you to see a breast cancer specialist" said my GP and thank goodness she did as it was, even after all my GPS assurances, breast cancer.

 it's never a waste of time, nor are you taking an appointment away from another, you are that other.  Go get checked, hopefully,, fingers crossed it's nothing.  Good luck

Getting an appointment to see my GP is pathetic.  I finally got through and the receptionist asked what was the nature of my illness. With due respect I would rarther see my GP than tell a receptionist who has no doctoring qualifications. So I was told they are asked to aks patients so they can put us with the right person. So I explained what my problem was,  then it ended up being a *** for tat sarcastioc chat. later on I recieve a message saying  I would need to send photo's of the area after my consultation.  I thought what consultation. why have they  took my chat with a receptionist a non medical phone staff. My duaghter rang up the surgery, as she is well spoke and can keep a calm head. she ended the letter saying Rober looks forward to a face to face consultation. that did the trick. I got a phone call. went to see a locum stand in. she sent a letter to the entorologist at the hospital. 3 weeks later I recieved a call saying the hospital had not replied.. So I have now got two months before I'm seen at the hospital.  My daughter is going to come as she will keep me in check. because I have what I consider pneumonia .  I have had it in the past. constant coughing fits starving the brain of oxegentingling sensations in the arms across the shoulders and my head becomes all echoy.. Because I am diabetic and have liver cancer a potential disater waiting to happen.  The receptionst does not seem to think it's serious to warrent a GP appointment. over all I think my surgery is very good. but since covid19 happened I am horrofied with what was once a good doctors.. Hence the reasoning for the time of 4am posting.

Well.... had my appointment yesterday. Had a ultrasound and it turns out to be a cyst. 'Cyril the Cyst'. Ther assured me that it was something that would also not turn into anything nasty and may go up and down depending on hormones and fluid etc.
