Questions to ask @ Gynae appt - Complex atypical hyperplasia

Hello

I was diagnosed in July with Complex Endometrial Hyperpalsia with Atypia after a hysteroscopy and biopsy in May. Was told I'd be referred back to my local hospital and my appointment is tomorrow.

Ive had a brief telephone appointment where a hysterectomy was mentioned and the fact that cancer could be there and hiding in the thickened lining.

Anyone else been through a similar situation and can advise what questions I should be asking?

Thank you

  • Hello Borisina2021,

I noticed you hadn't yet received a reply and wanted to say hello and check that everything went well as by now you will have had your appointment. How did it all go? Have you been given some clarity on all this? I can imagine that you felt a bit worried after your telephone appointment and I hope that the appointment at your local hospital provided some answers.

I hope that you will hear from others here who have been through a similar situation and that they will be along shortly to share their experience with you.

    Best wishes,

  • Hi Lucie

I've just re-read my post and saw that it auto-corrected to tomorrow! My appointment is Tuesday!

In so much pain and bleeding, even whilst on Provera, and can't wait to get sorted out.

  • Hello again Borisina2021,

Best of luck for your appointment on Tuesday. Let us know what they say and how it goes for you. Poor you I can imagine that you can't wait for it to be sorted out and I hope that you will hear from other members who have had a similar appointment before and that they will have some good tips for you to help you prepare for it.

Perhaps you could give our cancer nurses a call on this free number 0808 800 4040 as they may have some good advice for you ahead of your appointment. Their line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm.

I hope everything goes well Tuesday and that this gets sorted very soon.

    Best wishes,

    Lucie
