Abdo pain, no infection

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post, but I am at a loss of what else to do and a Google search brought me here.

For the past 7 weeks I have had abdominal pain on my upper right hand side. Where you would normally have the gall bladder (I had mine removed last July) the pain radiates through to my back and also seems to move a little around this area. No temp, obs have been normal heart rate ranging 42-55, low blood pressure but drs not concerned. Told bloods normal, but kidney function decreasing, last bloods had the GFR at 61. I haven't been given any other figures but I am going to ask for a full print out tomorrow.

I've just had a stay in hospital where they said they couldn't see anything on the ultrasound, but also said this was due to my weight - I am unfortunately obese, though just lost 35lbs. I have booked for a private ultrasound on Friday.

Other symptoms are constant exhaustion, like I can sleep for 14 hours out of 24 and still be exhausted. I keep going dizzy, my hands and feet swell up. I have a low mood and often irritable, on meds for depression. I have to get up 3/4 times a night for the toilet. I think that's everything.

Can anyone help with what else it could be or what to ask my dr for? I'm sick of being in pain and sick of being written off as everything is a 'weight problem' !

There's nothing worse coming away from your GP and feeling frustrated that you have been short changed in given no help. has your GP said anything about being diabetic.

I'm obese myself  am diabetic and have been for the last 16 years. yes my feet swell up as do my fingers,  I get up at least half a dozen times. a night. but as times gone on things have began to escolate for the worse unfortunately for me. I also have anemia and require top ups every 3 to 4 months with IV's.  dizzy spells are more of standing up and needing to hold on to something other wise I'd fall over.

You could always ask for a 2nd opinion or ask for a CT or MRI scan which is more  indepth. and could spot something that an ultra sound has missed.

But in all honesty if your GP and hospital haven't found anything untoward. the perhaps there is nothing there to be found.
