Good evening everyone,
I have had bowel symptoms and weight loss of about a stone since April....chronic diarrhoea, nausea, weightloss, distended abdomen, full after eating and bloating....also fatigue.
Bloods clear except folate deficiency anemia....all stool samples clear.
They ordered a colonoscopy I also received QFIT test....first one came back positive for blood 43.....second is still in progress.....some issue at the lab I guess as QFiT said no results for 11 days. Colonoscopy looked clear to me....I saw bleeding apparently that was normal irritation from the camera. I didnt see any polyps or tumours to my eye any way. They took 12 biopsies 4 from ascending 4 transverse and 4 from descending. My report said normal routine colonoscopy well tolerated and where biopsies were taken from. I tried to asks what the biopsoes would be taken for from the discharge nurse and I didnt get much coin back from her. I was told 4-5 weeks for results due to covid.....
Today I get a call from the GP I was to call them back. When I called....receptionist said the GP is asking if you still have symptoms after your colonoscopy last week....said yes I do they have started again today. Well I was calling to book yiu a routine appointment how about Thursday between 9 and 11 for a call back? Yes no worries.....can I check with you is my results back yet from the colonoscopy? Yes they are however it looks like the doctor hasnt dealt with them yet so I cant tell you the results.....I then called back to check if biopsies were back and there was a stutter uhhh uhh but she said they weren't back....
Am I being paranoid snd over worrying....I am a 38 year old female and single mother....
Thanks
