hi I've been referred for a colonscopy the same week rang me guessing this is urgent referral my fit test was 45 raised I am scared pertrifed its sat coming up anyone in the same situation thanks
My first fit was raised 43 second fit still in process....I had my Colonoscopy last week....all looked normal to me they took 12 biopsies....they said it was a normal tolerated well apparently from the report. Told 4-5 weeks for biopsy results....GP called today to book am apparent routine appointment if I still had synptoms after colonoscopy last week.....same symptoms i have had since April.....pardon the pun but I am *** it....apparently biopsies aren't back....
QFIT team said not to worry about blood could be from a haemorrhoid or polyp none that I saw anyway and i dont have piles.....but hey it could be so she said not to worry about it....
Colonoscopy was actually quite ok I did it unsedated....
Not sure if any of that helps but I am trying ti not get in my head till Thursday...
hi gemma, did you manage to have your colonoscopy? do you mind sharing the results if you did, i have a similar qFIT to you of 56 but I'm 25. GP originally wouldn't urgently refer me and said they'd have no idea when I'd hear back and it could be months. I've got an urgent referal now after the doctors at hospital helped convince them. They said I should get an upper endoscopy too as that's where I've been getting the pain for so long, however the 1st GP didn't do this so now the part time one has also urgently refered me for both but it's reset the time for the dates... I'm very worried. They also said my family history strongly suggests lynch syndrome so I was refered to a geneticist too, plus an enlarged lymph node that's been getting big the past 3 months. I hope your colonoscopy went well xx
hi tach, did you hear back about your biopsies?? i truly hope you're doing okay! how brave of you managing to do it unsedated, i think i might have a panic attack if that were me haha
my qFIT was 56 and I'm 25. i also need to be tested for lynch syndrome they said due to my mum's siblings dying quite young from cancer. I don't have the dates for my double endoscopy + colonoscopy yet... it's meant to be an urgent referal though.
