Multiple lumps on left side of neck

Hi.

a couple weeks ago I noticed a lump just under my ear on the left side of my neck which I'm assuming is a swollen lymphnode.
Now if I lay down I can feel another lump just underneath the other one which is causing me slight neck ache. (If I rub it it eases the ache but then makes it worse after a couple of seconds) this lump does seem to be softer and move whereas the other one is hard and doesn't move.

my glands are swollen and have been for a couple of weeks and I can feel 2 more little lumps either side of them (again assuming lymphnodes).

I have no sign of infection. Is this a cause for concern? I am driving myself mad with worry. I am currently being investigated for a high heart rate and palpitations, could it be linked to this do you think?

Has anyone else had a similar experience with these kind of lumps?

  • Hi bc1994,

Welcome to Cancer Chat. Lymph nodes can sometimes become more or less visible - sometimes due to infections but not necessarily. The best thing if you have any concerns is to talk things through with your doctor. If you're currently waiting on an appointment, you could use that appointment as an opportunity to ask about your concerns with the lumps.

    Wishing you all the best,
