Hi,
I am wondering if anyone can help and offer me any advice?
I have had a small pea sized lump on the left side of my neck for around 6months- could be longer. It came out of nowhere and I was not unwell at the time. When I first discovered it I dismissed it as being rundown, working full time with a toddler that didn't sleep! I have not been unwell since then and have been sleeping well as my son has started sleeping through the night (yayyy). I just forgot about the lump.
last week on holiday I was putting my hair up and when I turned my head I noticed the lump and I am now able to see this in my neck ( I couldn't before) I called the DR who asked me to send a photo and called back to say it was a cyst and not to be worried. Didn't ask me anything else. After thinking about it I wasn't happy with this so asked for a second opinion.
I visited my DR on Friday and he was fab. He asked about a number of questions and checked my spleen and tummy area. He said he was almost certain it's a lymph node and asked about any lumps in my armpit/ groin area. I said not as I hadn't noticed any. He said he wants me to check in on 4-6 weeks to see it's it's still there and ask how I am feeling and to see if I have any new symptoms.
obviously I came home and had a good feel of my armpits and when I was feeling my right side feels tender. This is not a new symptom but just something I didn't think of at the time but I did also ask my husband a few weeks ago if I had a bruise around my chests as it felt tender. I can feel a very small hard lump on my chests wall ( bony part of my chests) that is tender to touch and also very small lumps towards the top of my breast/ armpit. These to me feel more like glands/ nodes than actual big lumps of that makes sense? These are all on the same side as the lump on my neck.
The lump in my neck is totally painless but has grown in size even in the last week and is becoming more noticeable.
I don't want to pester my doctor to let him know about my tender chests area but also don't want to wait over a month if it could be significant?
I have also been reading symptoms I should look out for and ulcers that don't heal has been one? I have had what I can only describe as a spot in my mouth for well over 6 weeks. It's small and painless and I have been popping and rinsing with mouthwash daily but it has still not healed. Should I class this as significant.
shall I call back with the risk I come across as a hupercondriact or wait a few weeks to see if anything changes!
