Hi everyone,
Looking for support/advice. I found a new lump several weeks ago now, had it assessed by the practitioner at my GPs. She agreed she could feel one, so referred me to breast clinic. The consultant felt it and said it felt like my rib (I am quite a skinny and bony 30 year old) but despite this, sent me for an ultrasound..
The ultrasound was negative, at the point the consultant had marked in pen on my breast where "you think the lump is".
Obviously thrilled with the result, but now I'm left worried and confused. I've felt it so many times to reassure myself and it is not my rib. There is definitely a lump there, that was not there before and is not my rib as I can feel it far away from my rib.
Should I take the consultants word for it, or should I revist the process again? I cannot stop thinking about it and worrying if it is malignant, then it's being left longer and longer.
Thanks in advance!
