First oncology appointment

Found swollen testicle. 4weeks later ultrasound. 1week later surgery for testicle to be removed. 1week later ct scan. 2weeks later I've an appointment with oncology but no-one has actually told me anything. After ultrasound I was told there was a mass there but nobody has said for sure if it was a cancerous tumour or not. I'm assuming now that I've this appointment that it was cancerous, can't see another reason for it.

If somebody could explain or even give me some insight that would be great. Thanks.

  • Hi Jimmy12

I'm sorry to hear that you've recently needed surgery after finding a lump in your testicle. I hope that your recovery from the surgery is going smoothly.

I wanted to try and connect you up with [@NickF07]‍ who is at a similar stage in his journey to you. He has had his surgery and is now waiting on the next appointment with the Consultant. You can read his thread here

I know that lots of our members have found it helpful to chat things through with one of our team of nurses and I wonder if you might find it useful to speak with them ahead of your appointment. I'm sure they will be happy to try and offer some advice and information as well as help you think about any questions you might want to ask the Consultant. If you'd like to speak with them they're back in the office after the bank holiday on 0808 800 4040 (9 am to 5 pm).

Keep in touch Jimmy and let us know how you get on.

    Best wishes,
