Good evening,
I hesitated posting this when people will have problems greater than mine but I can't sleep well from worrying , I have health anxiety and need some reassurance please.
i visited my grandparents 2 weeks ago with my 3 young children. My grandfather had had someone in a week earlier to look at the old 1970s asbestos cement cold water tank that is in his loft but they decided the safest thing to do rather than remove it, was to fit a new and bigger plastic water tank.
but I can't help but worry that there were maybe fibres up there that may have travelled down from the loft on the clothing of this man? And onto my grandparents carpets? And then moved around and made airborne by the vacuum etc?
I know logically it's unlikely my children and I came into contact with asbestos fibres but in the week since I visited I've catastrophised it and now feel like we've all brought it home too, and it's on our clothes and in the washing machine and we'll forevermore be breathing it in somehow in our own home.
the tank wasn't broken up or removed but what if fibres escaped when he was unscrewing the pipes to change to the plastic tank (assuming that's what he did)
sorry I just needed to get this question out.
