Swollen Lymph Nodes 6 months

Hello, I am 22F. I'm looking for some advice on some symptoms. I've visited doctors and feel like I'm getting nowhere. It's a bit of a long story, I'll try to keep it simple!

In 2020, I developed an inhalatory wheeze, tight chestedness and breathlessness (not covid). I performed a lung function test in April this year after I was admitted to hospital due to low oxygen. The consultants determined I have an 'obstruction' of some capacity. After this, I noticed a hard node at the front left of my neck. Prior to this, I've had severe reoccurring nerve pain or 'muscle cramps' all over my body and middle back pain for about 2 years now, I've mentioned this to my GP but to no avail.

Recently, I've noticed I have multiple hard, large and immovable swollen lymph nodes around my groin. They are over an inch and I've had them for around 6 months. Also, I have swollen ankles which gets very painful. I have quite a lot of 'bone pain', especially in my hips. I feel very frustrated with it because I am young and should not be feeling like this. Typically, I'm very healthy and active. Additionally, I have a 'dent' in the underside of my right breast and what I think is a small, hard mass close to it (although I find it hard to tell myself).

My GP is finally referring me for an ultrasound of my groin lymph nodes. I experience a lot of fatigue nowadays and I do not feel like myself. I've had these issues building up for years.  I should add that my blood work has all come back fine.

I appreciate any advice or input, I'm growing more and more concerned everyday and my GP hasn't been the best. Thank you :)

  • Welcome to the forum Yas although I'm sorry for the reason you're joining us. It sounds like you've had a lot to contend with over the last year or so.

I'm glad to see all your blood test results have come back clear but hopefully the ultrasound you've been referred for will finally give you some answers and put your mind at ease.

A lot of our members have experience of swollen lymph nodes so I'm sure some of them will pop by soon to offer their thoughts and advice but in the meantime, we're thinking of you and will have our fingers crossed you won't be waiting too long for your appointment.

    Kind regards,
