Swollen Lymph Node in armpit

Hi. I had my second vaccine on 2nd July, 3 weeks  ago I noticed a lump in my left armpit, same side as the vaccine. I have had a chest X-ray, clear. Bloods taken, slight raise in white cell count, antibiotics, 2 ultrasounds and it's the axcillary node that is swollen. I am being scanned again in 3 weeks time and if it has not gone down they want to do a biopsy. Can someone please tell me if this node will ever go down? I do not want to be having a biopsy if others have experienced weeks of the lump not going down. It only measures 7mm but feels huge and annoying and uncomfortable.

  • Hello Amsterdam43

I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with a health concern at the moment. It sounds reassuring that nothing of concern has been noted on your tests so far but it's good to know they're keeping an eye on you and will review you in 3 weeks.

Hopefully, things will settle but if not and they want to do a biopsy then do discuss your concerns about a biopsy with the Dr's.

I hope things improve for you soon.

    Best wishes,

  • Hey, I am in this same predicament apart from I'm measuring 3mm thick and the normal being 2.3mm? Not exactly sure.

what has happened with you if you don't mind me asking. Was it just the one lump? Did it change I. Size?
