Like your mother, my breast cancer was found via my first mammogram. I was recalled and further mammograms taken, Then biopsies. A week later I got the results. 

The results were expected as the doctor had my breast images on the screen and I could see the white areas and asked what they were. I was told its either normal or DCIS, I have found the majority of fellow BC patients I've met, did not ask as they didn't want to know. I guess the doctors can guess how much to tell the patient depending on their persona. But of course they won't say for definate until biopsy results come through.

Yeah sounds similar to my mums experience. I'm hoping they'll give me a little hint like they did with you as I'd rather know that than nothing to be honest.

I'm not sure how each breast clinic is run but if the images are not up on the screen, you could ask to see them and that would allow you to ask questions. I would imagine they would take your lead.

To be honest I'm weirdly intrigued and love looking at X-rays so wouldn't mind having a look at an x ray of my boob lol x

Hi, I attended a one stop Breast Clinic - via my Gp as I too am had large lump in my big boobs .

I had mammogram ,ultrasound , ultrasound guided lump and lymph biopsy, titanium marker inserted where biopsy been taken, repeat mamogram-then saw doctor and told breast cancer straight away. I waited a week to get official results.

the waiting game is the most awful.
