Hi,
new here, need some advise.
So I went to a transvaginal ultrasound last Saturday, after being advised to due to spontaneous bleeding between periods sometimes brown or almost back or pink tinged I have pain on right side constantly that wraps round to the my lower back, cramps etc. The last period I had was so painful it hurt so much I could barely go to the loo. I had intestine cramps as well it was awful.
today I was Called to say that I have slightly raised CA 125 levels. They want to urgently refer me to the gynaecologist team to investigate as they have found a mass either on my ovaries or on the outside of my womb. But this mass they have found is on the left hand side.
Here's where I am confused, my gp has told me I have to have a kidney function test before being referred is this normal procedure? They really aren't telling me a lot and because they aren't telling me a lot I am questioning this.
I have had cancer before, but this was bone cancer grade one.
any advise or experience would be lovely to hear
kate
