Urgent Haematology referral

Hi,

Recently I got an urgent two week wait referral to a Haematologist, because I've had swollen lymph nodes for 6 months and today I've been given an appointment for next week.

I'm just wondering does anybody know what will happen when I go to the appointment because I haven't been told, I've already had a blood test to check for infections but im not sure what tests they might do at the hospital.

    I think this question has popped up quite a bit so if you use the 'search forum' in the purple bar above you should be able to get an idea of what will happen at your appointment but hopefully some of our members will share their experiences with you here as well. 

    You're very welcome to have a quick chat with one of our cancer nurses about this as well. They're available on 0808 800 4040, Monday - Friday between 9a.m - 5p.m.
