Negative breast biopsy but call back in 2 month

Hi I waited the full 2 weeks to get biopsy results so got a call to say the doctor has written me a letter to tell me it is fatty tissue but I have a call back in 2 months for a further check up to make sure the lump is no bigger and I have no further symptoms. Is this normal?? I thought if it was nothing I'd be discharged.

    I'm sorry to hear that you've recently needed to have a biopsy at the breast clinic. It is good news that the results didn't raise any areas of concern. 

    Although it sounds as if the clinic is being thorough, I can understand why you're feeling a little confused about things. You could give the breast clinic a call and leave a message for the breast care nurse asking if they would call you back so that they can explain a little more about bout the follow up appointment. Hopefully, she will be able to give you some reassurance.
