Anyone know of any private hospitals or cares that do ct scans within a few days? I have been referred for one with the nhs but could be waiting weeks and my health is deteriorating.
Im not from where you are but after a quick search, spire, bupa and alliancemedical came up for private ct scans. I should imagine there around £200-£300 private but that is just a guess :neutral: hope you get some answers and feel better soon!
I've been researching for my partner. The fastest turnaround was a private hospital in Chorley but they did need a referral form a specialist.
Others had a 2-3 week wait. Other well known private hospitals may be worth a call.
If there is a risk of cancer you should receive a scan within 2 weeks. You can ring the ct department of the hospital to see where you are on the list.
also if it gets worse go to a&e and try get scan that way. My partner has skin cancer and was in bad shape last week. I took him to a&e and he had the scan within an hour.
