Multiple lumps in Neck and Doctors keep fobbing me off.

Hi everyone!

22 year old male here! I have been really unwell over the last 2 years suffering from dizziness, tremors in my neck and head, fatigue, nausea, bloating, disorientation etc. I have had spinal and brain MRI to check for MS which were clear. I saw ENT who fobbed me off and suggested I try some balance excercises. I saw gastro who told me to see a dietician to try find an allergy, it didn't work despite giving up lactose and gluten.

Anyway, my latest development I found a limo behind my ear kind of in the neck between the bones. I also had a hard pea sized lump under my chin. I presented this to my GP a few weeks ago and she asked me to come back in 2 weeks if they had not got smaller. 3 weeks later I see a different GP who feels my neck. She then shows me 2 other lumps in my neck which she said "are nice and round and don't seem to be attached to the skin". She the advised I wait a few months and come back again if they are still there. I just feel so dejected after constant health battles without answers and I wondered if there was anyone out there with some advice. I'm not really a worrier, I'm just suffering and desperate for someone to tell me they know what's wrong. I also don't understand how someone who is presenting with many undiagnosed symptoms including lumps in the neck, is repeatedly fobbed off. A similar story is one of a girl I went to school with who had a similar experience and ended up becoming terminal with non hodgkins. I just don't know what to do.

I'm sorry to hear that you're dealing with some ongoing health concerns. I can imagine that it's incredibly frustrating to not have any answers despite the MRI that you've had being clear.

Do get back in touch with your GP. You may find it helpful to write down a list of all the symptoms that you're struggling with and how much they are impacting your daily life ahead of your appointment. Explain to the GP that you are concerned that this could be something serious.

If you feel that the GP isn't supportive then you might want to speak to the surgery practice manager.

I do hope that you get some answers and reassurance soon and that things improve for you.

    Best wishes,
