High risk HPV Severe dyskaryosis

Hello,

This is my first post, looking for some advice!

I got my smear results back last week (high risk HPV and sever dyskaryosis) and have already had a colposcopy and 3 biopsies taken since, after the colposcopy the doctor said nothing at all to me, not very reassuring. I'm now so scared, it's all that's on my mind! It's going to be a long month waiting for the results.

Is anyone else in the same boat? Wondering if him not saying anything at all is a really bad sign?

Thankyou x

  • Hello Hayley96,

Please don't be afraid to ask questions at future appointments. I'm sure your doctor will be able to address your concerns. I can understand waiting can be difficult, but there are some tips here that might be able to help.

    All the best,

  • Hi Hayley,

I hope everything went ok with you colposcopy? I have recently found I have high risk HPV and precancerous cells, I was wondering what your results ended up being?

I'm still waiting for my colposcopy appointment but as with everyone I am really concerned.

I've been struggling with pains in my lower abdomen for years but was always refused a smear, I had to wait until I was 25 and now have got worrying results which has put my mind in a bit of a fluster!

    Thanks

    Hi Abbie,

Did your smear result say what sort of abnormalities were found.

Mine was HPV and borderline changes, which I think meant there were some changes but the sample wasn't clear.

I have since had a colposcopy and had 2 biopsies taken, my results came back as CIN2 and I had LLETZ treatment 2 weeks ago to remove the abnormal cells.

If you have any questions about colposcopy or anything I'll do my best to answer based on my own experience, hopefully that will help put your mind at ease
