Hi everyone,
I never thought I'd have to write those words but here I am.
My amazing dad has been having abdominal pains for around 8 months. We didn't think much of it until he had a poo pot test which came back with traces of blood. His bloods came back normal with 11 CRP.
He had a colonoscopy yesterday and theyve put colorectal cancer as diagnosis at procedure. 5mm sessile polyp in the ascending proximal colon. Its a non bleeding tumour and isn't obstructing. Biopsies have been taken and he had a CT scan straight after. He has an appointment in two weeks for results.
im beyond devastated and it doesn't feel real. I still have hope though and I'm praying it's treatable.
does anyone have any advice of how to get through these horrible few weeks before results?
thank you
