I've been trying not to worry too much for the last few weeks but figured I would come here out of reaching for comfort. I'm 36 years old, and I recently went to the GP about three weeks ago worried about one of my breasts being different to the other. She did an examination and although I originally went about the left breast looking bigger than the right one, she said she felt some small lumps (which she said felt possibly like cysts?) in the right one. Since then I've noticed my right nipple is a lot flatter than the left (slightly inverted maybe)... it does get hard when I'm cold or when it's touched a bit, but I get worried when I notice how different they look. I also can't help but get paranoid about whether I have any changes on the skin.. I know I have pores, but I sometimes look and for some reason it looks more dimpled than the other side and I get anxious. And for some reason the last day or two my nipple and nearby has felt really sore.
I have an appointment for the breast clinic booked for end of next week, and I'm trying my best not to think too much into it but can't help but worry! I'm on the contraceptive pill as well, which makes me nervous as I know there's a raised risk...
Anyway, thanks for listening, I'm really hoping that things are normal when I get it checked out!
