Total Hysterectomy......Ovarian Masses

I saw the consultant yesterday who immediately filled me with so much confidence. The good news is that all further testing has shown no spread of anything nasty to other areas. However the two tumours on each ovary have grown and are starting to kiss each other (as he described it). He also said he can't rule out malignancy but they won't know this till they do the biopsy.
I am scheduled for a full hysterectomy and omentum removal on Tuesday, whilst he is performing the procedure they will check the tumours and he says this will give him a 60-70% idea if it is cancer. If so he will then also remove lymph nodes etc.

I am so relieved that I don't have long to wait, but am just processing the thought of having a major operation and what it means for me.  Thanks for reading.
