Testicular lump

I'm extremely worried. My husband said his testicle didn't feel right and it was very firm. This was 2 weeks ago and he had an ultrasound a few days ago. They said there was a lump at the back of the testicle. He is going to the urologist in 2 days time. He is on infliximab for Crohn's disease so I don't know if this will do anything to the blood results and affect the results in anyway. I also don't know if he can continue his infliximab if this turns out to be something nasty. He's always said if there's an issue he would just rather have it removed and then deal with whatever is to come. I have health anxiety and can't stop worrying. I worry what if it has spread etc.

  • Hello Scoob14

I just wanted to post to wish you well for your husband's appointment tomorrow. It's understandable that you're both feeling anxious but if this does turn out to be testicular cancer then it's worth keeping in mind that the survival rate is very high. Nearly all men survive their disease.

I know that both of you will be concerned about the "what if's" surrounding your husband's Chrons and the treatment that he's on. Try to take things a step at a time. This will help you to better manage your anxiety levels.

If you'd like to speak with our team of nurses at any point you're welcome to call them on 0808 800 4040, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5 pm.

Do let us know how he gets on tomorrow.

    Best wishes,

  • Thank you for your support. It is cancer and the lump is 3.3cm.
Now awaiting a date for removal and ct scan.

  • I'm so sorry cancer was confirmed Scoob.
